N Scale Online Retailers
- MB Klein – This is a great place to buy N scale everything. The best part about this site is the ACCURATE inventory they show along with each item. They ship stuff relatively fast, an overall great experience.
- Brooklyn Locomotive Works – If you are looking for the best price, you are likely to find it here. I like the fact that I can make online reservations for upcoming items that MB Klein doesn’t seem to do. Online inventory counts aren’t always accurate, but that is likely because of the huge volume of orders Pete is processing all the time. Don’t miss this site.
- Feather River Train Shop – The owner Chuck is a great guy. I am always impressed that he knows me by name when I call. You can’t beat his level of personal service. I only wish I lived on the left coast so that I could visit in person.
Online Magazines
- Model Railroad Hobbyist Magazine – After reading the first two issues, I am very impressed with the quality of the content found in this publication. I spend more time reading it than my print copy of Model Railroader. Good job guys!
N Scale Manufacturers
- Fox Valley Models – The rising star in the N scale world. Possibly soon to overtake Micro Trains as the manufacturer of choice.
- BLMA Models – These guys really do some quality N scale stuff. Check them out when you are looking for something special.
- Gold Medal Models – I found these guys when I was looking for some N scale chain link fencing. I haven’t purchased it yet, but it looks promising.
- Fine N Scale Products – These guys make some great detail loads etc.
- CMR – Custom Model Railroads has one of the greatest selection of high rise, contemporary building kits I have seen. I will be ordering these as soon as I can figure out where to put them on the layout.
- Lunde Studios – This company makes some really nice N scale hi-rise structures, similar to CMR.
N Scale Community Sites
- TrainBoard – The largest N scale community online and a great resource.
- RailWire – Sometimes you don’t have to be the most visited website to have quality content.
